We went to the creek walk on night to listen to Jazz music and Aj played at the park.
I was feeling the need to leave Visalia (go figure) and heard on the radio $29 to Sacramento on Amtrak. I've never ridden the train and thought it might be fun to take the boys for a train ride. We stayed for a week at my mom's and enjoyed it immensely. Brent came up one night and played with the boys. I got a massage and the fabulous Jess did my hair again. We also made a stop at both grandparents before taking the train back home. The train ride was nice (yes it was clean, and no there were no scary people). It was cheaper than driving, had more room than an airplane and because I didn't have to pull over to nurse, take Aj to the potty, get snacks, gas... it was even faster. I reccomend it.

I wish we had more trains around, like they have in Europe. I think they are great for getting around.
Hey, weren't you going to be coming up this way around now? Did you cancel your trip?
How fun for you and the boys. I've always wanted to go on a train too. Now that I know they aren't scary, maybe we'll have to go soon.

that rocks! i've done the train 1x in my life & i think it's better than a plane-especially for a short trip like you had. way easier w/ kids, too. i'm glad you had such a fun getaway!
