Austin has been doing such a great job being potty trained. When we decided it was a go this time, I didn't use pull ups or diapers ever and he did great. BUT the other day at the park AJ says "I have to go poo poo," of course this park didn't have a bathroom. We had just got back from camping where he learned to pee on a rock and I asked him if he had to pee, he said yes. So I take him over to a tree and tell him to pee. He just looked at me. "Right here mom?" "Yes, Austin hurry and go," I relpied. AJ proceeded to poo all over his shorts and the ground. I was shocked and I think I scared him when I said "Austin" in a low voice. "Mom, you said I can go now." "Yeah but I thought you had to pee not poop." "Oh, sorry."
Well I didn't bring anything to clean it up or a change of clothes. Luckily I had an old diaper in my stroller so I made him wear it and we walked back home. Just another fun filled day at the park ;)

That is so sick and SO funny! Gotta love moments like that! :)
Funny story!! I still can't get Sydney out of pull-ups. We tried again last week and what a mess. I gave up after 3 nights and 3 sets of wet sheets. I was hoping to have it done by the time this baby is born, but I don't think that it is going to happen.
Way to go!!!! We have had a few accidents at the park too!
Ah!! So funny! I have to say that I do envy how easy boys can go pee by a tree... having Anna go in the wild isn't very easy at all.
I learned some important things when potty training:
1. always bring an extra change of underwear and pants
2. always have a pull up/diaper on hand
3. have plenty of wipes
4. have a plastic bag to put the dirties into!
Colin has been potty trained for over a year and I still bring extra underwear and pants for him...just in case!
I just found your blog. Fun to read! Your camping trip looks really fun! Keep sharing with us.
oh the joys! i'm glad he's doing so well with the potty training though! at least it was a great blogging story!:)
