Oct 15th Joel moved up to the Sacramento area and stayed at my mom's for awhile. He got a job transfer up there because the Visalia office was closing up shop. I stayed home with the boys because my semester is not yet over and this all happened very quickly. There were two things on Joel's honey do list. 1) find us a place to live and 2) study! study! study! for his CPA exams.
That weekend I drove with kids up to mom's to look at a house we liked. We decided to sign the lease and check that off the list of things to do. Sunday morning (10/19) we found out Grandpa Morgan died. We met all the family in Modesto to be with grandma. His funeral was 10/25. Mom gave the eulogy and Joel gave the plan of salvation talk. Both of them did a great job. Some common memories shared by all were his love of sports, crazy driving and love for his family. We will miss you Grandpa.
