So I found this picture the other day. Oh, to be thin again. So its been 5 weeks now and my weight loss has pretty much plateaued. I should be super happy because I have lost 35 lbs, the only problem is I gained over 50 (yep, again) on top of already carrying 15 more than this picture. Does anyone have any suggestions for continued weight loss? I am trying to watch what I eat- basically I am just trying to eat less. I can't cut out sugar because frankly, I'm addicted and well it makes me happy and fills a bunch of emotional needs so leave the chocolate alone! I use to walk every morning but now that its raining that option is kinda gone. I can't really get to the mall everyday (my excuse) because the boys aren't really up for that yet. what has worked for you?

So, since I also am a candy-aholic, I needed something that would be quick and NOT counting calories. I am reading "Body For Life" and trying to eat gluten-free foods (this works for me because lots of good chocolate and candies are gluten-free). I'm in the market, too, for some post-partum weight loss ideas. Good luck..I'll have to check in on your blog for ideas :)
I don't know either. I think that if you are nursing you have to be patient.... Your body needs some extra storage. I starting losing alot more when I was done nursing. Walking always helps too!
Oh I know this feeling ALL TOO WELL! The things that have been most effective for me (I lost 15 pounds last summer): the best thing yet has been counting my calories in a major way (but make sure you have enough since you are nursing, but I read you need lots of fluids, too); toning of some kind--weights are great if you know what you are doing, but I have LOVED Turbo Jam videos!; eating foods your body can use, so cut out as much refined flour/sugar as possible. My mom has lost a TON of weight just by keeping track of her calories...that's the biggest tool, I think. If you can do a short, brisk walk a day that will help. I have read that women who are nursing do hold onto a little extra weight (usually around the tummy) until they are finished nursing because of the hormones. Good luck and let me know how it goes! You'll do great!
Oh, how I feel your pain. I have no idea what would help. I love food and hate exercise - bad combination to have as you get older. Sigh...
